Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager – Electrical Shift Operations (ABS/ESP)

About the role

Bosch Chassis Systems India Ltd is seeking a senior engineer or assistant manager to lead electrical shift operations for ABS and ESP production equipment. The role focuses on improving equipment efficiency, managing maintenance activities, and driving Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Increase OEE of assembly and deburring equipment by reducing technical downtime.
• Plan and support technical competency development for the team.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Ensure spare‑part availability, manage stock replenishment, and develop alternate suppliers.
• Lead cost‑reduction activities for spare parts, repairs, and energy consumption.
• Install and commission CNC and SPM lines, manage obsolescence of machine spares.
• Implement capacity‑improvement projects such as cycle‑time reduction and OEE enhancements.
• Maintain compliance with internal/external audits, safety, and 5S standards.
• Analyze and act on quality rejections caused by machine issues.
• Drive I4.0, digitisation, and data‑analytics projects.

Required profile

• B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics.
• 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance, preferably in brake‑system or vehicle‑safety components.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and optimise resources.

Required skills

• CNC programming and SPM machine knowledge.
• PLC programming (CS2000, MTX, OSA3).
• Multi‑axis servo, vision, stacking, torque, greasing, and laser‑marking systems.
• Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system expertise.
• Industry 4.0, data analytics, and digitisation experience.
