Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Brake Applications

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead the development of safety‑critical brake application software. The role involves designing, coding, integrating and validating algorithms for ABS, ESC and EPB functions on automotive platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded C/C++ software components for brake control systems.
• Develop and verify algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow and generate production code.
• Perform MIL, SIL, FSIL, CCSIL and HIL testing to ensure functional safety.
• Integrate software with AUTOSAR Classic stack (RTE, BSW/MCAL) and vehicle communication interfaces (CAN, CAN FD, UDS).
• Collaborate with hardware, testing and calibration teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of embedded software development experience, preferably in automotive brake or chassis systems.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE and MISRA C standards.
• Proven ability to analyse defects, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive issues to closure.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Embedded C/C++ and real‑time microcontroller development.
• Model‑based development with MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow.
• AUTOSAR Classic, RTE, BSW/MCAL integration.
• Automotive communication protocols: CAN, CAN FD, UDS, DTC handling.
• Debugging and validation tools: CANoe, CANalyzer, INCA, dSPACE, Lauterbach, Polyspace, Jira, ALM.
