Senior Electrical BIM Designer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Designer – Electrical with strong expertise in Autodesk Revit MEP and Electrical BIM modelling to support large‑scale, technically complex projects across the Middle East, including data centres, healthcare facilities and sports arenas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit from concept through IFC stages.
• Model and coordinate Electrical systems such as small power, lighting, containment, fire alarm, earthing, lightning protection, equipment and panel layouts, and cable trays.
• Prepare Electrical layouts, schematics, schedules, sections and construction/IFC documentation.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications and translate them into accurate BIM models.
• Perform regular self‑checks and QA/QC on models before submission.
• Coordinate Electrical services with HVAC, PHE, ELV, architectural, structural and other disciplines, using Navisworks and Revizto to resolve clashes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and support technical discussions.
• Mentor junior modelers and provide technical guidance.

Required profile

• 8–10+ years of Electrical BIM/Revit experience, preferably on large‑scale Middle East projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience with data centre, healthcare or sports arena projects is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and deliver high‑quality outputs.

Required skills

• Autodesk Revit MEP – Electrical
• Navisworks and Revizto for clash detection and coordination
• ACC / Common Data Environment (CDE) workflow knowledge (preferred)
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, LOD requirements and project‑specific modelling procedures
• Electrical design expertise (MV/LV distribution, transformers, UPS, generators, busduct, lighting, earthing, lightning protection)
