Senior Driver (Local)

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking a Local Senior Driver to support its operations in Libya. The role involves providing reliable transportation for staff and handling logistical tasks while adhering to UN security and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely transportation of UNODC staff, consultants, and authorized personnel.
• Transport official documents, materials, and equipment as required.
• Ensure punctuality and adherence to agreed schedules.
• Maintain the assigned vehicle in clean and good mechanical condition, performing daily checks of fuel, oil, tires, brakes, lights, etc.
• Accurately keep vehicle logbooks and report any mechanical issues or incidents immediately.
• Strictly follow UN security procedures, local traffic regulations, and UNDSS movement protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding official matters.
• Support coordination of airport arrivals and departures, including protocol, visa, customs, and immigration formalities when needed.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, documents, and packages, ensuring timely distribution.
• Assist with logistics arrangements for incoming missions, including transport coordination and administrative support.
