Senior DevOps Engineer – AWS Cloud Services

About the role

Impelsys is looking for a senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise‑scale AWS cloud platforms. The role focuses on AWS Landing Zone Accelerator environments, CI/CD automation, and modern platform engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain multi‑account AWS Landing Zone Accelerator (LZA) environments.
• Create and operate secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and AWS native services.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation.
• Implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD.
• Deploy, manage, and optimise Kubernetes clusters (Amazon EKS) and containerised workloads.
• Automate provisioning, security controls, and operational processes.
• Support cloud migration, modernization, and platform engineering initiatives.
• Apply monitoring, observability, governance, and cost‑optimization best practices.
• Collaborate with development, security, and cloud operations teams to improve reliability and developer experience.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with enterprise‑scale AWS services and LZA.
• Proficiency in TypeScript for automation and infrastructure development.
• Experience with AWS DevOps services (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy).
• Relevant AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
