Senior Design Strategist

About the role

3M is seeking a Senior Design Strategist to join the ESC D&AA function, working with a global, cross‑functional team to create digital products and experiences for the Digitization and Advanced Analytics group. You will help shape innovative supply‑chain and manufacturing analytics tools that drive corporate strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with international teams to design and improve digital supply‑chain and manufacturing analytics solutions.
• Develop and execute design research strategies, including generative research, contextual inquiry, participatory workshops, interviews, usability studies, and surveys.
• Synthesize data from multiple sources to identify strategic product and service opportunities and create UX visions and roadmaps.
• Produce interview discussion guides and usability test guides, and conduct remote or in‑person research sessions.
• Support product strategy, conceptualization, design systems, and UX/UI design to deliver human‑centered solutions.
• Facilitate alignment workshops, define guiding principles, and develop prioritization frameworks for future‑state visions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in design research and strategic product development.
• Strong ability to translate complex data into actionable design insights.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders and business leaders.
