Senior Design Engineer

About the role

Magna is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join its Cosma division, focusing on lightweight automotive body and chassis solutions. You will work on sheet‑metal and casting components, leveraging advanced CAD tools to create high‑quality designs that meet strict performance and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate sheet‑metal (steel and aluminum) and casting component designs.
• Create and manage 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5, NX (UG) and Teamcenter.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure design intent and manufacturability.
• Perform drawing checks, quality control, and coordinate with manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
