Senior Data Scientist

About the role

The Senior Data Scientist will design, build, and scale data science and connected agentic systems that improve decision‑making and automate high‑value business processes across the organization. The role combines strong hands‑on software and machine learning engineering with the ability to translate ambiguous business problems into reliable, production‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end design and delivery of connected agentic systems that combine LLMs, specialized agents, tools, APIs, and human‑in‑the‑loop controls.
• Build and productionise data‑science and machine‑learning solutions using Python, applying rigorous statistical validation, feature engineering and model evaluation.
• Develop robust retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, including ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval and citation mechanisms.
• Create evaluation frameworks for agentic systems covering factuality, safety, latency, cost and business outcomes, and implement monitoring loops.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in data science or applied AI, with at least 2 years delivering LLM or agentic AI solutions.
• Proven experience building and deploying connected agentic projects beyond simple chatbots.

Required skills

• Advanced Python programming and production‑grade software engineering practices.
• Agentic AI and LLM engineering, including prompt engineering, tool calling and multi‑agent orchestration.
• RAG and knowledge‑grounding techniques such as vector search, embeddings and document ingestion.
• Statistical analysis, experiment design, feature engineering and model evaluation.
• SQL development and data‑pipeline construction.
• Version control (Git), CI/CD, containerisation and cloud deployment.
