Senior Data Governance Analyst – Corporate Functions

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Corporate Functions Data Governance team within Global Business Services. Based in Hyderabad, you will work as an individual contributor, partnering with finance, HR, legal, compliance and other corporate stakeholders to strengthen metadata, taxonomy and overall data governance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance the enterprise data catalog, ensuring accurate metadata documentation.
• Collaborate with the Data Capability team to onboard source systems, scan data, and leverage technical metadata for governance activities.
• Monitor and manage metadata for accuracy and consistency across the organization.
• Support Data Owners and Business Data Stewards with metadata, data quality, data lineage and critical data element governance.
• Provide training and guidance on using the Metadata Dictionary and Taxonomy.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for the Informatica Enterprise Metadata tool and maintain related documentation.
• Handle escalations related to metadata processes and support GIDS leadership in achieving team goals.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in a data‑related role, preferably within financial services.
• Postgraduate degree; IT or finance‑related certifications are a plus.
• Strong understanding of metadata, data governance frameworks and data stewardship concepts.
• Self‑motivated, inquisitive and able to engage cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Experience with metadata management tools such as Informatica Axon or EDC.
• Proficiency in Excel and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with Informatica Enterprise Metadata tool.
• Ability to use Gen AI tools for data‑related tasks.
