Senior Data Engineering - GCP Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Design Lead with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform to drive data engineering initiatives for our clients in the banking, financial and energy sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of data storage, transformation and event‑processing solutions on GCP.
• Develop and deploy pipelines using BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Pub/Sub or Kafka, and orchestrate workflows with Apache Airflow.
• Ensure security, IAM and API governance across all data services.
• Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams and present technical solutions to diverse audiences.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in data engineering and cloud architecture.
• Proven experience working on large, complex, multi‑location programmes.
• Strong communication skills to articulate solutions at appropriate levels.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) components: GCS, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Kafka, Google Cloud SDK.
• Workflow orchestration with Apache Airflow.
• Data storage, transformation, event processing, APIs, IAM and security.
• Knowledge of analytics solutions such as ML/AI and BI (not a data‑science role).
