Senior Data Engineer – Customer Remediation

About the role

The Senior Data Engineer will join ANZ's Customer Remediation team in Bengaluru, focusing on identifying and resolving systemic issues that affect multiple customers. Working within an Agile environment, you will use data analysis to pinpoint impacted customers, assess financial impact, and support the delivery of remediation actions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse large data sets to identify customers affected by pricing, disclosure or compliance errors.
• Calculate remediation amounts and support the execution of customer resolution projects.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to design and implement technical solutions.
• Document methodologies, assumptions and outcomes for audit and governance purposes.
• Provide regular status updates and ensure transparent communication across stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a data engineer or similar role, preferably in the financial services sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Experience working in Agile teams and delivering end‑to‑end solutions.
• Understanding of banking products and regulatory considerations is advantageous.
