Senior Cybersecurity Threat Hunting & Detection Engineer

About the role

Join Honeywell Technologies as a senior analyst on the Detection and Response team, working in a hybrid environment to drive global cybersecurity innovation. You will lead threat hunting and detection engineering initiatives, focusing on advanced security threats and protecting the company’s infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead identification and analysis of sophisticated security threats using advanced tools and methods, including Splunk ES.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting activities, developing and executing hypotheses to uncover potential security breaches.
• Design, implement, and optimize detection rules and alerts within Splunk ES and other security platforms.
• Perform emerging vulnerability assessments and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
• Mentor junior analysts and collaborate with global incident response, security operations, and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Information Security and 3+ years in Threat Hunting or Threat Intelligence.
• Experience with incident response, digital forensics, and creating/maintaining detections and alerts.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow complex work instructions.
