Senior Corrective Maintenance Engineer – Solder Reflow & SMT

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Corrective Maintenance Engineer to lead the upkeep and continuous improvement of our solder reflow and SMT production lines. You will ensure high machine availability, drive cost‑effective maintenance, and support our commitment to operational excellence at Bosch's Naganathapura plant.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate shift handovers and maintain 5S and safety standards on the shop floor.
• Maintain uptime of soldering equipment (Reflow, SPP, BHS, stencil cleaning, SMD tower, dry chamber) and DMC laser printers.
• Perform breakdown maintenance and preventive maintenance (PM) on all assigned machines.
• Escalate major issues to suppliers and achieve rapid resolution.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory and keep MTTR below target levels.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis using 5‑why and 8D methodologies.
• Implement predictive maintenance actions to prevent unplanned breakdowns.
• Control scrap and droppage, and drive continuous‑improvement projects.
• Achieve individual and departmental performance targets.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with proven problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in end‑to‑end SMT line maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and lead maintenance activities.
• Commitment to safety, 5S, and operational excellence.

Required skills

• Reflow soldering equipment operation and maintenance.
• SPP, BHS, stencil‑cleaning, SMD tower, and dry‑chamber maintenance.
