Senior Corporate Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Corporate Lawyer to join the Corporate & Commercial practice at Anand and Anand. The role involves handling complex mergers & acquisitions, insolvency, restructuring, and high‑value commercial agreements in a fast‑paced Tier‑1 law firm environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructuring, strategic investments and related transactional matters.
• Conduct legal due diligence and support the structuring, negotiation and closing of domestic and cross‑border transactions.
• Handle insolvency, restructuring, bankruptcy and debt recovery matters, providing strategic advisory throughout proceedings.
• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize high‑value commercial documentation such as service agreements, SLAs, licensing and technology agreements, vendor and collaboration agreements, NDAs and other business contracts.
• Provide strategic legal and regulatory advice on corporate and commercial issues, including compliance and risk assessment.
• Attend client meetings, interact independently with domestic and international clients, and manage ongoing mandates.
• Liaise and negotiate with counterparties, consultants, regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.
• Offer pre‑litigation and dispute advisory support arising from contractual and commercial matters.
• Maintain client relationships, ensure timely execution of mandates and stay updated on relevant legal developments.
• Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, conferences and networking platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience in M&A, insolvency, restructuring and complex commercial transactions.
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated mandates and client relationships.
• Strong professional network with rainmaker capabilities.
• Commercially astute with the capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
