Senior Corporate Counsel

About the role

ISS STOXX is expanding its legal team in Gurgaon and seeks a Senior Corporate Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support to the group and its subsidiaries, especially the benchmark provider STOXX Ltd. The role focuses on advising the global sales organization and handling complex commercial agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on contracts, corporate law, regulatory compliance, product development, and subsidiary management.
• Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate complex services and license agreements, including professional services, data/software licenses, procurement, supply, and NDAs.
• Update and maintain template agreements and internal policies.
• Conduct legal research and support internal policy modifications.

Required profile

• LL.B. from a leading Indian law university or an internationally recognized law school; enrollment in good standing with an Indian State Bar Council.
• Minimum five years of experience at a top law firm or as in‑house counsel handling corporate and commercial matters for multinational firms.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements and collaborate with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, global environment and manage multiple assignments.
