Senior Conveyor Design Engineer

About the role

Ledvore is seeking a Senior Conveyor Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and commissioning of belt and roller conveyor systems for clients in Ireland, Europe, and the US. The role requires strong spoken English and the ability to run technical discussions with international customers without supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Design conveyor systems from concept through to commissioning, including sizing, calculations, and component selection.
• Create structural designs for frames, supports, walkways, and transfer points.
• Source market and vendor components, compare specifications, and integrate supplier CAD models.
• Produce manufacturing and assembly drawings for fabrication shops.
• Support build, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), installation, and commissioning phases.
• Lead technical discussions and design reviews directly with clients.

Required profile

• Excellent spoken and written English with proven experience in an English‑speaking, international environment.
• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience designing, building, and commissioning belt and roller conveyor systems.
• Strong calculation abilities for capacity, throughput, drive power, torque, belt tension, and roller loading.
• Self‑directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
