Senior Consulting / Principal Software Engineer

About the role

Join a global team that delivers high‑quality software for education and electronic health records. As a Senior Consulting / Principal Software Engineer you will act as a subject‑matter expert, set architectural standards and drive complex development initiatives across the division.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed.
• Write advanced, complex code and serve as a senior source of expertise.
• Manage system and user acceptance testing cycles to guarantee accurate, high‑quality solutions.
• Lead the development of technical standards and mentor other engineers.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for external technology resources.
• Recommend technical strategy and direction across functional areas.
• Participate in the evolution of architecture and provide design input for products.
• Consult with stakeholders during system outages to identify work‑arounds.
• Interface with customers, end users, and technical teams to finalize requirements.
• Complete complex bug fixes and design sophisticated data models.

Required profile

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• Broad technical knowledge across the industry and specialized coding skills.
• Experience with large, complex systems.
• Proven ability to adapt to new roles and responsibilities.
• Expertise in software development processes (Agile, Waterfall).
