Senior Consultant – Veeva Vault Safety (Japan & PMDA)

About the role

Veeva Systems is a mission‑driven leader in industry cloud, helping life‑sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster. As part of the Professional Services team, you will guide biopharmaceutical customers through the implementation of Veeva Vault Safety, focusing on Japan and PMDA requirements. The role blends consulting expertise with deep knowledge of drug safety processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business workshops to gather and document functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Design solutions that meet both expressed and latent customer needs, collaborating closely with the configuration team.
• Act as the primary liaison between customers, implementation teams, and Veeva product groups.
• Provide expert advisory on data migration and guide customers in adopting Vault best practices.
• Drive change‑management activities to transition customers from on‑premises to SaaS solutions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of life‑sciences experience, primarily in Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance.
• Strong understanding of Japan Green Book and PMDA safety reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to conduct workshops, clarify requirements, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries on safety data sets and implementing safety systems such as Aris, Argus, Emperica, Commonwealth, or RxLogix.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to travel up to ~25% of project time.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; individual contributor experience required.
