A Senior Chartered Accountant (CA) specializing in income tax holds a crucial role within an organization or accounting firm, overseeing tax planning, compliance and advisory functions. The role involves developing tax strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing expert advice to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the organization’s tax position while ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements with a focus on tax implications, delivering accurate information for decision‑making.
• Prepare, review and file income tax returns for individuals, businesses and organizations, and liaise with tax authorities during audits.
• Provide expert advice on tax implications for business decisions, transactions and investments, collaborating with other departments.
• Identify and mitigate potential tax‑related risks and implement internal controls for accurate reporting.
• Supervise and mentor junior tax professionals, leading tax teams to achieve departmental goals.
• Interact with clients to understand their financial and tax needs, building strong relationships.
• Conduct in‑depth research on complex tax issues and interpret tax laws to deliver accurate guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is required.
