Senior Chartered Accountant – Income Tax

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Chartered Accountant specialized in income tax to join our Ahmedabad office. The role involves leading tax planning initiatives, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic advice to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise the organisation's tax position.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal tax regulations and stay updated on legislative changes.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements with a focus on tax implications.
• Prepare, review and file income tax returns for individuals, businesses and organisations.
• Coordinate with tax authorities during audits and examinations.
• Provide advisory support on tax implications for transactions, investments and business decisions.
• Identify and mitigate tax‑related risks and implement internal controls.
• Supervise, mentor and lead junior tax professionals to achieve departmental goals.
• Interact with clients to understand their tax needs and maintain strong relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is mandatory.
• Significant senior‑level experience in income tax planning, compliance and advisory.
• Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
