Senior CAD Engineer – BIW

About the role

The Senior CAD Engineer will create and develop Body‑in‑White (BIW) components using CATIA V5/V6 for automotive projects. The role supports design of underbody, floor structures, upper body, roof and related subsystems, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with program timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Generate detailed CAD geometry and drawings for BIW panels and subsystems.
• Lead design development of underbody, front floor, dash, cowl, rear floor, bodyside, roof and reinforcement structures.
• Maintain up‑to‑date CAD data reflecting required maturity levels.
• Provide CAD support, manage clearances, and verify manufacturing feasibility.
• Escalate unresolved technical issues to the Lead Engineer.
• Identify risks and ensure all project deliverables are met on schedule.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in automotive CAD design, preferably on BIW systems.
• Proven track record of delivering projects within the automotive sector.
• Strong understanding of component design, function, performance, and production requirements.
• Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
