Senior Buyer – Procurement & Contracts

About the role

The Senior Buyer is responsible for executing the ordering, delivery and contract management process for materials and equipment. This role ensures compliance with specifications, budgets, and quality standards while aligning with the Money, Materials & Compliance (MM&C) guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day procurement activities following all relevant policies, processes and SOPs.
• Collaborate with end users to develop monthly, quarterly and annual procurement plans.
• Review purchase requisitions, prepare internal cost estimates and evaluate techno‑commercial offers.
• Negotiate with vendors on cost, quality and delivery targets and support the Buying Manager in finalizing deals.
• Manage the end‑to‑end contract award lifecycle, including preparation of term sheets, purchase orders and RFQs.
• Enter finalized orders into the SAP system and ensure proper documentation, goods receipt, invoicing and payment.
• Coordinate with logistics, freight forwarders and EXIM teams for customs clearance.
• Handle audit queries, resolve PO and work‑order issues, and oversee contract closure activities.
• Identify, evaluate and qualify potential vendors, assessing capabilities and risks.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in procurement, purchasing or contract management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement policies, processes and standard operating procedures.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with budgeting, cost estimation and technical specification review.
• Experience coordinating logistics, customs clearance and EXIM processes.
