Senior Business Analyst – Payments

About the role

Capco is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep Payments domain expertise to join its Pune delivery centre. You will work on transformation programmes for leading banks, payment service providers and other financial institutions, driving end‑to‑end payment processing improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements, map payment messaging (ISO 20022, SWIFT MT) and define functional specifications for payment hub and clearing integrations.
• Collaborate with product, operations and technology teams to design, test and implement payment solutions, manage stakeholder communication and ensure successful delivery of transformation projects.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of overall experience with at least 4 years of hands‑on work in the Payments domain, preferably on payment hub modernization or clearing integration projects.
• Strong subject‑matter expertise in end‑to‑end payment processing, payment lifecycle and payment operations, demonstrated through previous implementation programmes.

Required skills

• Payment Hub/Orchestration platforms (e.g., Finastra, FIS, Volante, Temenos, Fiserv, ACI) and integration using APIs and service‑oriented architectures.
• Payment messaging standards ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT, including message mapping, validation and transformation.
• Experience with clearing and payment rails such as RTGS, ACH, UPI, NEFT, SEPA and related reconciliation processes.
