Senior Business Analyst – Growth & Analytics (5‑7 yrs)

About the role

Paytm is India’s leading mobile payments and financial services platform. As a Senior Business Analyst for Paytm Gold, you will own end‑to‑end analytics across acquisition, retention, churn, revenue and GMV, turning data insights into growth actions for Marketing and Business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive data‑led growth across the acquisition, retention, churn, revenue and GMV lifecycle.
• Conduct deep‑dive cohort, journey and behavioural analyses to improve customer lifetime value.
• Measure and optimise campaign efficacy, attribution and incremental GMV.
• Build and maintain dashboards, metrics, forecasting and scenario models to track performance against the Annual Operating Plan.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Growth, DWH and Business teams to translate insights into measurable outcomes.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in business analytics, growth analytics or data science, preferably in fintech or e‑commerce.
• Proven ownership of a product vertical or growth charter with measurable business impact.
• Strong analytical capabilities including cohort, funnel, retention, LTV modelling and experiment design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related field; MBA or Master’s in a quantitative discipline preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL (complex joins, window functions, CTEs, query optimisation on Trino/Presto/Hive/Redshift/BigQuery).
• Python (pandas, numpy, statistical testing, automation).
• Advanced Excel (pivots, complex formulas, macros).
• Data modelling (dimensional, star/snowflake schemas, metric‑layer design).
• Data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Superset.
• Product & web analytics tools like Google Analytics, CleverTap, Mixpanel, Amplitude or Firebase.
