Senior BizOps Engineer (Software Engineer II)

About the role

The Account Solutions BizOps team is looking for a senior engineer to solve problems, build CI/CD pipelines and lead Mastercard in DevOps automation and best practices. The role acts as the production‑readiness steward, partnering with developers to design, implement and support technology services.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in the full service lifecycle from design through deployment, operations and refinement.
• Analyze ITSM activities and provide feedback on operational gaps or resiliency concerns.
• Support services before launch with system design consulting, capacity planning and launch reviews.
• Maintain live services by measuring availability, latency and overall health.
• Scale systems sustainably through automation and drive reliability improvements.
• Support the CI/CD pipeline, validate releases and champion DevOps best practices.
• Practice sustainable incident response and conduct blameless post‑mortems.
• Mentor junior resources and share knowledge across a global, multi‑time‑zone team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Strong problem‑solving approach, ownership mindset and effective communication.
• Experience debugging, optimizing code and automating routine tasks.
• Ability to handle difficult situations with urgency and make informed decisions.
• Interest in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large‑scale distributed systems.
• Appetite for change and pushing automation boundaries across development, operations and product teams.
