Senior Barista

About the role

Curators Coffee is seeking a Senior Barista to lead daily coffee bar operations at its Ahmedabad location. You will ensure every cup meets the highest specialty‑coffee standards while delivering a warm, community‑focused guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the coffee bar team, overseeing preparation of espresso‑based and brewed drinks.
• Calibrate equipment, monitor beverage quality, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Train, mentor, and schedule junior baristas, fostering a respectful and collaborative environment.
• Manage inventory, place orders, and handle stock rotation.
• Execute opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and POS transactions.
• Engage with guests, explain menu items, and promote specialty‑coffee knowledge.
• Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Collaborate with management on new recipes, seasonal offerings, and service improvements.

Required profile

• Strong barista expertise with proven espresso extraction, milk texturing, and brew‑method skills.
• Customer‑service experience in a fast‑paced hospitality setting.
• Leadership ability to train staff, delegate tasks, and maintain a positive workplace.
• Operational competence in cash handling, POS usage, and basic inventory management.
• Attention to cleanliness, food‑safety, and equipment maintenance.
• Passion for specialty coffee and willingness to share knowledge.
• Previous experience in a specialty or high‑volume café; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and peak hours, and ability to stand for extended periods.
