Senior Backend Software Engineer

About the role

The Senior Software Engineer – Backend is a key engineering role responsible for designing, developing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining scalable and reliable backend applications and services. You will work closely with development teams and product managers to deliver solutions using modern .NET, C#, REST APIs, microservice architecture, and AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain backend applications and services.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, including security, performance optimization, and production deployment support.
• Contribute to technical design decisions, code quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate within an existing product architecture and codebase to deliver robust solutions.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of overall software development experience.
• 3–4 years of hands‑on experience developing web applications on AWS.
• Proven experience across the software development lifecycle, from design to production support.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of technical deliverables and resolve complex issues.

Required skills

• .NET and C# programming.
• Developing and maintaining REST APIs.
• Microservice architecture and cloud‑based development (AWS).
• Enterprise integration patterns, messaging/queue systems (pub‑sub, message brokers).
• Git with modern branching, pull/merge requests, and CI integration.
• Application testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Understanding of security and data‑protection best practices.
• Agile/Scrum methodology.
