Senior Associate – Microsoft Purview Data Governance Engineer

About the role

PwC is looking for a Senior Associate to lead the implementation and management of Microsoft Purview for enterprise data sources across on‑premises and cloud environments. The role sits within the Advisory line of service and focuses on data governance, risk management and cybersecurity for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Enable and manage Microsoft Purview for diverse data sources, ensuring comprehensive metadata capture and data lineage.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python and CLI to interact with Purview APIs for data source registration, scan configuration, rule‑set creation and scheduling.
• Create and administer Purview Domains, Collections and Data Catalogs to support enterprise‑wide data governance.
• Perform manual and automated registration of data sources, conduct test scans and validate data quality.
• Collaborate with client C‑suite stakeholders to shape data governance strategies and drive pipeline growth.

Required profile

• Senior‑associate level experience in cybersecurity, data governance or related advisory services.
• Proven ability to build relationships with senior business leaders and influence large‑scale deals.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on risk management and compliance.
