Senior Associate – Data Analyst/Scientist (GovTech)

About the role

PwC’s Government and Public Sector Transformation Management practice is seeking a Senior Associate to support federal, state and local clients in Bhopal. The role focuses on data analytics, business intelligence and AI‑driven decision making to improve operations, detect fraud and inform policy.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and integrate data sources required for analytical models and fraud‑detection initiatives.
• Develop long‑term roadmaps for leveraging data analytics and AI in client decision processes.
• Assist in selecting Business Intelligence tools and build interactive dashboards.
• Perform spatial data analysis and present insights for strategic decisions.
• Conduct predictive and trend analyses using historical and external data sets.
• Extract, interpret and visualise data to support reporting and policy recommendations.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in consulting or advisory environments, preferably with government or public‑sector clients.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to manage multiple client engagements.

Required skills

• SQL and Oracle database querying.
• Python programming for data manipulation and modeling.
• ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Statistical tools such as SPSS or SAS.
• Business Intelligence platforms: PowerBI, Tableau.
• Data mining, predictive analytics and data visualisation.
• Experience with spatial data analysis.
