Senior Associate – Credit Risk Quant (Advisory)

About the role

At PwC’s Advisory practice, the Senior Associate – Credit Risk Quant will support banks and NBFCs in meeting regulatory requirements and managing credit risk. The role involves providing guidance on compliance strategies, developing and validating credit risk models, and integrating risk management across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse wholesale, retail and micro‑finance lending products to assess credit risk exposure.
• Apply regulatory frameworks such as Basel Accords and IFRS 9 (ECL) to credit risk assessments.
• Develop, calibrate and validate risk parameters (PD, LGD, EAD) and pooling models.
• Interpret and implement credit policies, rating/scoring methodologies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed an integrated Enterprise Risk Management approach.

Required profile

• Prior experience with banks or NBFCs, preferably in a mid‑office credit risk function.
• Strong understanding of credit policy, rating/scoring, and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of Basel Accords, IFRS 9 and credit risk modelling techniques.
• Ability to work with quantitative models and perform validation activities.
