Senior ASIC Engineer, Switch SoC

About the role

We are seeking an expert SOC Design and Integration Engineer to join the Switch Silicon group. You will work with a team of dedicated engineers to create next‑generation high‑speed communication devices that deliver the highest throughput and lowest latency.

Key responsibilities

• Understand all features of a project, define milestones based on internal roadmaps, assign and track them using an agile framework.
• Define and develop system‑level methodologies, tools, and IPs to build SOCs efficiently and scalably.
• Lead SOC assembly efforts and drive cross‑functional teams toward milestone execution.
• Integrate all components for defined milestones and deliver models for verification at cluster, sub‑system, SOC, and emulation levels.
• Utilize scripting languages such as Perl or Python to automate tasks and improve workflows.

Required profile

• BS (or equivalent) with 4+ years of semiconductor design and architecture experience building complex SoCs.
• Hands‑on experience across all phases of SOC development, including architecture, micro‑architecture, RTL design, verification, timing closure, and physical design.
• Familiarity with design and verification tools (Verilog/SystemVerilog, Cadence or equivalents, debug tools like Indago, GDB).
• Experience collaborating with software teams to define HW/SW interfaces, control/status registers, interrupts, and error handling.
• Successful tape‑outs of multiple complex, high‑volume SoCs in advanced process nodes.

Required skills

• ASIC and SoC design, RTL coding, verification, timing closure, physical design.
• Proficiency in Perl, Python, and C/C++ scripting.
• Expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog and Cadence design tools.
• Knowledge of synthesis, DFT, and design automation.
• Experience with debug tools such as Indago and GDB.
