Senior Architect

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Architect to lead the design of pharmaceutical and life‑science facilities. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, develop concept layouts and master plans, and secure client buy‑in for project advancement. The role also ensures adherence to company technical policies and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare architectural layout options and site master‑plan concepts for pharmaceutical and life‑science facilities.
• Develop architectural narratives, flow diagrams, schedules, and room data sheets while ensuring compliance with client standards and cGMP requirements.
• Support permitting applications, tender documentation, and specification preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program recognized by the Council of Architecture.
• At least 8 years of experience, licensed architect (AIA) with strong knowledge of building codes and pharmaceutical facility requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Suite, InDesign and Revit.
• Experience with building codes, cGMP requirements, permitting applications and tender specifications.
