Senior Architect – Aviation Terminal Projects

About the role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Architect to lead the design and execution of large‑scale aviation terminal projects across Pan India. The role combines architectural creativity with strong project management to deliver innovative, functional, and compliant terminal buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead conceptualisation and design of terminal buildings, ensuring aesthetic and functional excellence.
• Develop detailed architectural plans, layouts and specifications aligned with client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, contractors and project managers for seamless integration.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to address design challenges and incorporate feedback.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, aviation regulations and environmental standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials and technologies to apply best practices.
• Conduct regular site visits to oversee implementation and maintain quality standards.
• Work closely with project managers to keep designs within budget and schedule.
• Present design concepts and updates to clients and senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 + years of architectural design and project execution experience.
• Significant experience in terminal building or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and BIM tools.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills for client, consultant and contractor relationships.
• Strategic thinking to balance design aspirations with project constraints.
