Senior Android Software Engineer

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Android Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain high‑quality Android applications that support its global payments ecosystem. You will work within the MDES team, collaborating with cross‑functional partners to deliver scalable, reliable mobile solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop enterprise‑grade Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android SDK components.
• Assist the Lead Engineer with low‑level design and provide accurate effort estimates.
• Write and execute unit and integration tests, ensuring code quality and coverage.
• Perform peer reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to process improvements.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and protect intellectual property.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and logical thinking with the ability to articulate ideas clearly in English.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Understanding of security concepts such as authentication, authorization and confidentiality in enterprise applications.
