Senior Analyst/Application Developer – R&D Software

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Analyst/Application Developer to create and maintain modern web applications that support next‑generation R&D capabilities across small molecules, peptides and oligonucleotides. The role bridges scientific needs with scalable software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain modern web applications and UI component libraries using React and TypeScript.
• Implement RESTful APIs, micro‑services, and integrations with core lab systems and cloud‑native platforms (AWS, Lambda, Docker).
• Develop automated tests (unit, integration, end‑to‑end) and participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, scientists, architects and QA teams in an agile environment.
• Support CI/CD pipeline development, observability, and documentation for regulated environments.

Required profile

• 2‑5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
• Strong Python skills for backend services or data processing.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway) and containerization (Docker).
• Understanding of GxP/regulatory requirements and software validation practices.
