Senior Analyst - Medical Analytics (Hyderabad)

About the role

Roche India's Analytics & Intelligence team, part of Roche Services and Solutions, is looking for a Lead / Senior Analyst in Medical Analytics. Reporting to the Analytics & Intelligence Manager, the role sits in the Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence and works closely with Field Analytics and Insights and U.S. Medical Affairs teams. It supports data-driven medical strategy and better patient outcomes through advanced analytics, with locations in Hyderabad and Chennai.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex analytics initiatives for Medical Affairs, covering real-world data analysis, patient outcomes, treatment pathways, pre- and post-launch tracking, customer list generation and disease progression.
• Partner with Field Medical and Medical Networks teams to turn HCP/KOL engagement data into insights that optimize medical strategy and field effectiveness.
• Build and run scalable data pipelines, automation solutions and analytical frameworks for large healthcare datasets.
• Work on use cases in HEOR, medical impact assessment, patient journey analytics and health equity research.
• Analyze claims, EHR/EMR, clinical trial and MSL/HCP interaction data to deliver actionable insights.
• Translate scientific and business questions into analytical solutions and present complex clinical and scientific insights clearly.
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, mentor junior team members and work across global teams and time zones.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biostatistics or a related field, with 4-8 years of analytics/consulting experience, including 2-5 years in pharma/biotech/healthcare analytics; a Master's is an added advantage.
• Strong experience in medical analytics, real-world data analysis, clinical analytics or outcomes research.
• Good understanding of the U.S. Medical Affairs ecosystem (Field Medical, Medical Networks, Scientific Operations).
• Preferred exposure to therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology and neurology.

Required skills

• SQL and Excel, with strong programming in Python, R or SAS.
• Building data pipelines, automation workflows and scalable analytical solutions.
• Statistical techniques, data modelling and analytical problem solving.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, and stakeholder management in a fast-paced environment.
