Senior Accountant – Pune

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations at our Pune office. You will manage the general ledger, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with statutory and internal audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, journal entries, and subsidiary accounts.
• Prepare, review and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Support statutory and internal audits, reviewing internal controls and compliance processes.
• Handle direct and indirect tax calculations, filings and basic tax planning.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for client projects.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to resolve financial queries.
• Monitor internal controls, recommend process improvements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Significant senior‑level accounting experience in practice or industry.
• Strong attention to detail, high integrity and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
