Senior Accountant

About the role

We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Accounting and Finance team at symplr. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong financial accounting background and will involve collaboration across multiple departments and external resources.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end bookkeeping, including general ledger, accounts payable, employee expense processing, bank reconciliations and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, handling capitalization, depreciation and reconciliation.
• Drive the month‑close process by preparing and reviewing journals, accruals, prepaid items and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing schedules, documentation and explanations.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports, variance analysis, cash forecasts and intercompany billing.
• Perform GST reconciliations, GST compliance and TDS provisions, payments and filing of returns.

Required profile

• CA/CMA/CA Inter qualification with 6+ years of progressive corporate GL accounting experience.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑starter with a proactive work ethic, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
