Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to manage and oversee our day‑to‑day accounting operations. The role involves accurate bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and supporting the finance team with reporting and compliance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records, including general and subsidiary ledgers, journal, purchase, sales, receipt, and payment entries.
• Handle invoice and billing processes, verify supporting documents, and coordinate with vendors and clients.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, track vendor payments and customer outstanding amounts.
• Perform regular ledger scrutiny, bank, cash, customer, vendor, and general ledger reconciliations, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly payroll accounting, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities.
• Prepare trial balances, expense statements, outstanding reports, basic MIS reports, and support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Provide accurate financial data and reports to management and support other finance‑related requests.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
• Practical knowledge of journal entries, debit/credit accounting, and ledger maintenance.
• Good numerical and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective documentation, record‑keeping, and communication skills.
