Senior Accountant – Group Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our newly created Group Reporting team in Financeplus India. You will work closely with the London‑based Group Reporting team, supporting the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and helping to deliver accurate, compliant group‑level financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Support technical accounting processes such as lease accounting, share‑based payments, financial instruments and associates to ensure IFRS compliance.
• Assist in consolidating financial results across multiple entities, currencies and jurisdictions for group‑level reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and control.
• Maintain adherence to WPP accounting policies and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements, reinforcing a strong control environment.
• Provide cross‑functional support to the Group Reporting function, including operational and administrative tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Chartered accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CPA) – essential.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting experience, including client‑facing experience at a Big Four firm.
