Senior Accountant – Full‑time (Chennai)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to independently manage the complete accounting function for Vedita Ventures in Chennai. The role involves day‑to‑day bookkeeping, statutory compliance, reconciliations and preparation of financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full set of accounts in Tally, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, journal entries and credit/debit notes.
• Handle GST and TDS filing, calculations, payments and statutory challans, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Prepare and reconcile Bank Reconciliation Statements, customer and vendor ledgers, and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation and finalisation of the Balance Sheet and other accounting reports, keeping books audit‑ready.
• Maintain systematic documentation of bills, invoices, challans and coordinate with auditors/CA.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of experience in full‑cycle accounting, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong attention to detail, accountable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proactive in identifying compliance issues and meeting statutory deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
