Senior Accountant – Finance & Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team at Maersk. The role will be responsible for managing both accounts receivable and payable, supporting month‑end close, and providing insightful financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer receivables, reconcile accounts, prepare aging reports and coordinate collection activities.
• Process vendor invoices, reconcile statements, maintain payable records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Execute month‑end closing activities, guaranteeing accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare monthly profit & loss statements, analyse revenue, expenses and margins, and deliver commentary to management.
• Assist in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, gather assumptions from business functions and track performance against plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in Finance, Accounting or FP&A.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and accounting principles.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modelling).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite.
