Senior Accountant (CA) – Chennai

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant (CA) to lead our finance function in Chennai. The role involves managing end‑to‑end accounting, tax compliance and financial reporting for a dynamic organization operating in trading, distribution or manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely closing of books.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, MIS reports and management dashboards.
• Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax and other statutory filings, coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal and tax audits.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, monitor cash flow, perform bank reconciliations and control fund utilization.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
• Coordinate with internal departments, improve accounting procedures, support ERP implementation and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts, finance, taxation and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax and related statutory regulations.
• Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in trading, distribution, manufacturing or industrial sectors is an advantage.
