Security Test Engineer

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking a Security Test Engineer to strengthen the security of its automotive gateway products. You will work on validating security mechanisms that protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats, ensuring robust and compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and verify security mechanisms in automotive gateway (GW) products.
• Perform secure diagnostics and secure flashing tests, including Flash Data Security and Secure Boot validation.
• Assess HSM, VKMS functionality, cryptographic key management, and encryption implementations.
• Test secure communication protocols and ensure compliance with ISO 21434 and AUTOSAR Security concepts.
• Utilize Vector CANoe, VTstudio, Vector HIL, and CAPL programming for test development and execution.
• Conduct debugging and log analysis to identify and resolve security issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or related engineering discipline.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in automotive security testing or related fields.
• Strong understanding of ISO 21434 (Automotive Cybersecurity) and AUTOSAR Security concepts.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Vector CANoe, VTstudio, and Vector HIL.
• CAPL programming proficiency.
• Knowledge of Secure Boot, HSM, VKMS, cryptographic key management, and encryption basics.
• Familiarity with secure diagnostics, secure flashing, and secure communication protocols.
• Ability to use debugging and log analysis tools effectively.
