Security Operator

About the role

Pinkerton is seeking a Security Operator to monitor electronic security systems, manage access control, and provide physical security coverage when required. The role ensures the safety of premises, personnel, and visitors while responding promptly to alarms and incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV footage for suspicious activity and maintain camera functionality.
• Report incidents captured on video to the Security Manager.
• Oversee alarm systems, respond to triggers, and coordinate with law‑enforcement or emergency responders as needed.
• Test alarm systems regularly to verify proper operation.
• Issue and manage access badges for employees and visitors, maintaining accurate records.
• Audit badge access logs to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Serve as a reliever for physical security guards, patrolling premises and securing doors, windows, and gates.
• Escort visitors and contractors, enforcing security procedures.
• Document and report security breaches, incidents, and anomalies to the Security Team Lead.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a security operator or in a similar security role.
• Strong understanding of security protocols, confidentiality, and physical fitness for patrol duties.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Preferred certifications in security operations or law enforcement.

Required skills

• CCTV monitoring and equipment maintenance.
• Alarm system operation and testing.
• Access control badge issuance and management.
• Basic computer usage for security software.
