Security Officer – Loss Prevention (Kochi)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Officer to lead our Security and Loss Prevention strategy for Quick Commerce operations in Kochi, Kerala. The role involves overseeing secure functioning of dark stores, managing risk, and fostering a culture of safety across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and enforce SOPs for site security, fire safety, inventory control, loss reporting and compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and provide actionable recommendations.
• Perform regular on‑ground audits of dark stores (weekly, monthly, quarterly and surprise) and resolve identified issues.
• Schedule, deploy and supervise third‑party security personnel and mentor central and regional auditors.
• Collaborate with operations to optimise space utilisation in dark stores.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, to address legal and security matters.

Required profile

• Ex‑defense, police or SLP professional with 0‑5 years of experience in security operations or loss prevention, preferably in e‑commerce or quick‑commerce.
• Proven ability to manage teams across multiple sites while maintaining high integrity.
• Strong understanding of inventory audits, incident management and SOP development.
• Excellent prioritisation and time‑management skills in high‑pressure environments.
