Security Officer – Hotel Security

About the role

The Security Officer will protect guests, employees and assets at the ibis Thane hotel. Working under the direction of the Director of Security, you will be deployed across various duty posts to ensure a safe and secure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform duties according to the duty roster, covering control‑room, lobby, loading bay, patrolling, back‑of‑house and VIP parking as required.
• Monitor and maintain all security systems, taking immediate corrective action when faults are detected.
• Assist management, staff and guests in line with protection and prevention objectives.
• Coordinate with internal departments and government agencies during routine operations and emergencies.
• Conduct regular inspections of back‑of‑house areas, focusing on unauthorized entry and exit points.
• Maintain accurate logs, inventory of keys, passes, radios and other accountable items.
• Ensure cleanliness of the security room and stay fully conversant with fire and life‑safety procedures.
• Attend briefings, meetings and training sessions as assigned.

Required profile

• Secondary or higher education.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant security experience.
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• Clean criminal record and professional appearance at all times.

Required skills

• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
• Basic fire‑fighting training.
