Security Officer – Hospital Premises

About the role

Aster Medcity, a leading healthcare provider in Kolkata, is looking for vigilant Security Officers to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. The role is full‑time, on‑site and involves regular patrols, access control and emergency response within the hospital campus.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol hospital premises regularly to maintain order and a visible security presence.
• Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
• Secure doors, windows and other access points.
• Investigate alarms and assess situations promptly.
• Assist patients, visitors and staff in a courteous manner.
• Report suspicious behaviour to appropriate authorities.
• Conduct security checks and inspections of the premises.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, incidents and observations.
• Support emergency situations, including evacuations and medical emergencies.
• Coordinate with other security personnel and law‑enforcement agencies as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in security, law enforcement or a related field.
• Strong observational and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle stressful situations.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to emergencies.
• Reliability, punctuality and a high sense of integrity.
