Security Officer – Building Safety & Access Control

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Security Officer to protect our building and its occupants. Working under the Security Director, you will monitor access points, patrol the site, and respond to alarms to ensure a safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior premises to deter intrusion and maintain security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Answer alarms, investigate disturbances, and report emergencies to the Security Director and local authorities.
• Control entry and exit of employees, visitors, and contractors using on‑site security systems and procedures.
• Write daily activity reports documenting incidents, equipment damage, theft, or unauthorized persons.
• Interact with visitors and staff to preserve order, enforce rules, and, when necessary, remove violators.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent prohibited items from entering restricted areas.
• Inspect, adjust, and monitor security and life‑safety equipment, as well as building systems such as HVAC.
• Assist during severe weather events and ensure safety signage is posted.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of security experience, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of relevant security laws and ability to maintain required licenses.
• High integrity and strong ethical standards.
