Section Head - Treasury

About the role

The Section Head – Treasury will lead the treasury function, ensuring efficient cash flow management, banking operations, liquidity planning, working‑capital optimisation and financial risk management for the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end treasury operations, including cash management, fund allocation, and liquidity planning.
• Monitor daily cash positions and ensure optimal utilisation of available funds.
• Manage short‑term and long‑term funding requirements to support business growth.
• Prepare and review cash‑flow forecasts and liquidity plans.
• Drive working‑capital optimisation through effective management of receivables, payables, and inventory‑related cash cycles.
• Ensure availability of funds for operational and strategic business requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Negotiate banking facilities, fund‑based and non‑fund‑based limits, and treasury‑related agreements.
• Monitor banking performance and optimise banking costs.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate treasury‑related financial risks, including liquidity, interest‑rate, and foreign‑exchange risks.
• Establish and strengthen treasury controls, governance mechanisms, and compliance frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee timely processing of payments and treasury settlements.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Support auditors and regulatory authorities during treasury reviews and audits.
• Prepare treasury MIS, liquidity reports, and management dashboards.
• Present treasury performance, funding requirements, and risk assessments to senior management.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement, commercial, and business teams for effective cash planning.
